Week 17

Title: Plagiarism and supervisor check This week I meet my supervisor for checking the plagiarism percentage and ask for any instruction of adding on or editing, Then after checking my plagiarism was 8%. Then, I submitted my report and blog link to my respective supervisor . I would like to thank my supervisor  Sir  MOHD ZUBIR SUBOH  for his guidance, advice and attention throughout the development of this project. This project would not have happened without his support and  our family support. They are the backbones of our success. I would like also to thank all of my friends for support. The helped me a lot in improving my knowledge and skills. Then I would like to thank all my lecturers that have taught me throughout my studies. I will try to use the knowledge that has been taught during my studies as much as I can.  Lastly, I would like to thank all those who have helped me in developing this project.

Week 16

Title: Preparation for submitting the report  This week I'm preparing the report to check it with my supervisor for any instruction of editing and submit my FYP 1 report, Instead of I added my conclusion, future work, and the references following  IEEE format. Here is a short video about my full report: After finishing the report I started doing the last check for the grammar and the phrasing before the next meeting with my supervisor.

Title: report progress  After the presentation week, I start doing my expected outcome in my project report and my first expectation is the system will detect the accident from a vehicle and send a message through GSM module. Then message will be received by another GSM module.

Week 14

Title: Presentation day On this day I went to the examination hall for my FYP presentation wearing a suitable attire and my presentation slides, then I presented my project to the assessors and they asked me about the working process of the project, how the sensor detects and how the GSM send a notification to the mobile phone in the same time of the accident, then I answered for the sensor part by "when the sensor got any changes in his dimensions he will notify the rescuer", and for the GSM part "once GSM got a wave from the sensor he will send through the SIM card service the message at the exact same time". After I greet my assessors and thank them for coming.  

Week 13

Title: Preparing for presentation and Asking my friends for reference In this week I meet my supervisor to double check my findings in the slides and gave me my seat number with the assessor's names. Then, I have contacted my friends in Egypt whos studying my same field and have done their final year project as well, I asked them about their final year project title and also some data Cairo University archives then they gave me a google drive link has some of the previous Cairo university projects' reports. https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=1_BZgC33mxF9YdnttyGLtPKunHzXPKoxk I got from those reports some ideas for my circuit construction and also some model number for my components,

Title: Coast plan In this  week I have done some researchers about the price of each component and how much the project will cost me and i come out with some results, 1.       Key 2.       Power supply 3.       Arduino UNO 4.       Vibration sensor 5.       16*2 LCD 6.       GPS Receiver 7.       GSM module 

Week 11

Title: Meeting my supervisor In this week I have been through a meeting with my supervisor regarding my research and to discuss with him whether my findings if correct or not, but luckily my findings were suitable and reliable, then we proceed for my findings by adding on some instruction by my supervisor.

In this week I did my researches about how the components will work together to produce the output. I come out with some expected result and it is when the sensor gets changes in the dimension will send notification through the Arduino by applying the coding that I have learned it on week 4 to GSM module and the GSM got a GPS detector can detect the exact location once get signal from the GSM.

Title: Find information about GSM Module. In this week, i just found information about GSM Module, GSM  is mean Global System for Mobile Communications. GSM  is a standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI). A GSM Module was created to describe the protocols for second-generation (2G) digital cellular networks used by mobile phones and is now the default global standard for mobile communications – with over 90% market share, operating in over 219 countries and territories. Its is mean, a GSM Module just only use in receive and transmit message and call. A GSM module  is a chip or circuit that will be used to establish communication between a mobile device or a computing machine and a GSM or GPRS system. The modem (modulator-demodulator) is a critical part here. Week 7

Title: findings discussion I meet my supervisor and discussed with him about my findings on the component and he agreed, After that, we had some discussion about the report and how it should be done and the submission day, and we decided to make the next discussion after I do all researchers about how all the components will work in sequence to send the notification to the rescue team or the saved numbers.

Title:  Research and findings In this week after meeting my supervisor and open the discussion about my components and he gave my the exact model number of each component that I have to use, so I start doing researchers on the vibration sensor and how it works on the Arduino and send the information, and as well for the LCD 16*2 and how I gonna construct it on my circuit 

Week 5

TITLE: Arduino and C language  In this week I will continue my researchers on how to add the coding or the programming part into the Arduino and the basics of coding my project. First, I downloaded the Arduino software  https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software . then I start learning the basics of the application on how to select the board and select Arduino UNO, Then I started to write the code, the first part is knowing that any sketch in the application should have two types of void functions setup() and Loop().

Title:  Surveying Topic After meeting my supervisor, i made some resarchers and i felt interested to go on this project more and i went to the library to find some resources about the component that i will use, such as Arduino, sensors, GSM and GPS module.

Week 3

Title: Project title confirmation Sir  MOHD ZUBIR SUBOH asked me to do a starting or simple introduction about my project to register it on the FYP website. After approving my introduction from my supervisor we proceed for the registration and successfully registered into the system using Development of accident detection system title.    

Week 2

Title:  Selecting a supervisor I start looking for my supervisor and I choose Sir MOHD ZUBIR SUBOH from Medical Section and after discussing with him my title and he add on my idea, he asked me to do more researchers about my project and especially in the components used, in order to understand more in my project before confirming my title in BMI FYP system.

Week 1

Title:   FINAL YEAR PROJECT Briefing The first week was the briefing of the Final Year Project. The briefing was conducted in Gemilang Hall and they gave us a fully information about the final year project. The students were required to select the title of the project and the supervisor as well and choose with them the title which it could be my own idea or his suggestion or to go to BMI FYP website to check the previous student work at  http://fyp.bmi.unikl.edu.my/ .

Introduction

Introduction Assalammualaikum W.H.B. First of all, let me introduce myself. My name is Zeyad Montaser Abd Elwahab Amin. I'm doing my bachelor degree in medical electronics at University Kuala Lumpur "BMI" and this is my semester 6, so since I'm doing this semester FYP 1, I will share with you my  FYP  1    progress for 17 weeks here in this blog.
